Oil Capital Racing Series
Format and Details Released for the $3,000 to win / $1,000 to start AmeriFlex Challenge
TULSA, Okla. (Sept. 7, 2021) - Officials with the AmeriFlex Hose and Accessories Oil Capital Racing Series have announced the format for the upcoming AmeriFlex Challenge 6 taking place on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, OK.
The event will see a $3,000 top prize with the feature paying a cool $1,000 to start for the Champ / 305 Sprint Cars.
A new format has been put in place for the event if 35 or more cars sign in for action atop the 3/8 mile high banked oval.
The Format:
35 or less cars will follow standard OCRS event format of pill draw and passing points with a Top 8 redraw.
35 or more cars: Drivers will draw for heat race starting spot. The Top 30 in heat race passing points will transfer into three qualifiers going 8 laps with the top 18 inverted while the balance of the field being lined up by heat race passing points. Following the qualifiers the passing point totals will be combined to set the B and A-Main lineup. Feature lineups will be straight up.
The 2021 AmeriFlex Challenge will be 25-laps.
In 2021, the B-Main non-transfers will see a boost. Drivers not making the A-Main will now receive $200.
Pre-Tech will also take place before the AmeriFlex Challenge. Pre-Tech will begin at 3pm. We encourage teams to get to the track early. All cars must pass pre-tech in order to enter the racing surface. All 305's must have their IMCA hard card.
