Alex Sewell Wins 2nd Annual Triple Threat at Arrowhead Speedway

Colcord, OK (March 15, 2025) — The AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories Oil Capital Racing Series took on the high banks of Arrowhead Speedway for the 2nd Annual Triple Threat, where 27 sprint car competitors battled for victory.

The evening began with three heat races. Tyler LaPointe won the Merak Group Heat 1, Tyler Edwards grabbed the Same Day Auto Repair Heat 2, and Jack Wagner triumphed in the Patriot Lawn & Landscape Heat 3. One of the night's standout performances came from Andrew Deal, who charged from 8th to 3rd in Heat 1, making him the high point driver and giving him the all-important pill draw for the PuroClean Dash lineup.

In the PuroClean Dash, Connor Lee was victorious in the 6-lap shootout, securing the pole position for the A-Feature. He was followed by Alex Sewell, Andrew Deal, Tyler LaPointe, Jack Wagner, and Tyler Edwards, all setting the stage for the night's main event.

Kayden Cole led the field to victory in the Oklahoma Chiller B-Feature, with Chance Cody, Brylee Kilmer, Jack Thomas, Noah Harris, and Michael Tyre also transferring to the A-Feature. Jack Thomas had an impressive rebound, starting 11th in the B-Feature and driving his way up to 4th, keeping his night alive after not finishing his heat race.

The AmeriFlex Hose & Accessories A-Feature saw Alex Sewell claim the win. Behind him, Jake Nail made a charge from 8th to finish 2nd, Kyle Bellm moved from 11th to take 3rd, Connor Lee secured a 4th-place finish, and Gage Laney climbed from 12th to round out the top 5. Andrew Deal looked to be a contender for the win but suffered a right rear flat on lap 27 while running 2nd, ending his chances.

Meanwhile, Jack Thomas completed his comeback on the night, starting 18th in the A-Feature and finishing 8th, earning him the Driven Midwest Hard Charger award.

With two races in the books, the 2025 OCRS season is already beginning to take shape. Next, the series heads to Springfield Raceway on March 29, marking a long-awaited return to the Missouri oval.
