AmerFlex Challenge II Race Format presented by Grand National Trailer

Tulsa Okla. (August 10, 2017) - Officials with the Ameri-Flex / OCRS sprint car series have signed off on the racing format for the Ameri-Flex Challenge II presented by Grand National Trailer. The $3,000 to win & $1,000 to start race will take place on the 26th of this month at the Salina Highbanks Speedway. The format for the teams that have qualified for the event are as follows:
Drivers will draw for their heat race positions.
Normal passing point format will apply for the heat races.
Heat Races will be 8 laps each.
Qualifying races will be ran next.
Starting line up will be fully inverted from points earned in heat races.
Passing point system will apply in the qualifiers.
Qualifiers will be 6-Laps each.
A-Feature line up is straight up on total points earned from heats and qualifiers.
Driver with highest points draws one of three numbers. Numbers are 2, 3 or 4.
A-Feature line up will invert based on number drawn.
Example, if the number 3 is drawn, the first 3 rows from the line up will be inverted.
A-Feature will be 25 laps.
NOTE: This will be an official points race for the 2017 racing season.
(no points from qualifiers will apply towards point standings)
There are several contingency awards available for this event. They are as follows:
Maxim Racing: Two $250 Certificates
Smiley's Racing Products: Five $100 Gift Cards
Schoenfeld Headers: Five $100 Certificates
Amsoil: Ten $50 Certificates
Rod End Supply: Five $25 Certificates
Drivers will draw for their certificates at the conclusion of the event.

About the Salina Highbanks Speedway -
The Salina Highbanks first opened in 1992 and was sold to the
current ownership in 2011when the track began a life of its own as several improvement projects took hold. One of which was
the Finishline Restaurant that sits atop the speedway where fans can view the racing action while enjoying a ribeye steak or other fantastic menu items. The 3/8-mile track surface features 22 degrees of banking in the corners with 12 degree average banking on the straights making for the fastest racing surface in the region.

Who is eligible for the
The $3,000 to win / $1,000 to start Ameri-Flex Challenge II race will be open to the top 30 in car owner points providing the car owner has participated in a minimum of SIX Ameri-Flex / OCRS events leading up to the date of the event. AFC II will be conducted as a complete racing program versus the single race format held in 2016.
In the event there are added or deleted race dates prior to AFC II, the number of events a car owner must enter and participate in prior to August 26th will remain at SIX with the top 30 in points earning an invitation to participate. In the event of a tie for the 30th and final spot, the car owner with the highest A or B Feature finish in the season earns the tie breaker.
If the original scheduled date is moved back and there are still 10 (and up to 12) events held when the new date arrives, the minimum number of races a car owner must have competed in remains at six. The number of races required to attend increases if there are 13 or more events.
A list of driver / owners that are qualified for the AmeriFlex Challenge II presented by Grand National Trailer will be published after the August 18 show at Thunderbird Speedway.
